Alex Rasmussen joined Sullivan Group in 1996, after several years
of managing special events at top echelon Houston country clubs.
In his current position, Alex has brought his extensive talents to the creation of many successful productions. He is a master in the use of technology and special effects and his innovative event designs have gained him quite a reputation in the industry.
Alex can even enliven machinery – Alex used his creativity as well as his technical expertise to produce a spectacular gala in the shop area of a new turbine machinery plant, to the great satisfaction of company executives. He is also the “go to” guy for hot new trends in entertainment.
Along with his own event projects, Alex functions as Sullivan Group’s Creative Director, and all proposals have his stamp of approval before going to the client.
Alex has also earned the designation of Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP) conferred by the International Special Event Society (ISES). He has addressed the ISES Showcase where he was recognized as an industry expert in Event Risk Management.
In June of 2003, Alex was awarded the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) prestigious Silver Excalibur Award in the category of Special Events & Observances for production of two-day centennial celebration in Houston, the North American headquarters of a French company. The project culminated in a stylish, sophisticated gala for 200 executives and dignitaries from around the globe. The gala also won the 2003 Houston ISES Special Event Award.
