Summary
Objective
TMW Systems, a world leader in logistical software for the trucking industry called upon Sullivan Group to orchestrate TransForum 2007 “Driving Leaders,” a three-day signature tradeshow and training event in Orlando, Florida. Taking place at the Marriott World Center Resort in Orlando, Florida, TransForum 2007 would play host to nearly 1000 guests, marking one of the largest gatherings of its kind for the trucking industry. Part tradeshow, part training-centric, TransForum 2007 was unique in its two-pronged scope.
Production Management
Over the course of three days, TransForum 2007 encompassed more than 175 educational sessions highlighting real-world use of TMW Systems software applications. Outside of classes, attendees and vendors took to the exhibit hall for meals, networking opportunities and keynote addresses. Featured speakers included Bill Graves, President & CEO of the American Trucking Association and Stephen Dubner, author of Freakonomics. As project manager, Sullivan Group oversaw virtually every facet of TransForum 2007. This included the coordination of 25,000 square feet of exhibit-hall space and 20 educational breakout locations over the course of three days. In addition, Sullivan Group directed production of all event signage and collateral, dining and beverage service, entertainment, evening programs and audio-video systems. Sullivan Group even arranged for attendee travel to and from the airport.
Results
TransForum 2007 “Driving Leaders” was an unquestionable success. Sullivan Group returned to Orlando with TMW in 2008 for another successful year. As a result of these gatherings, TransForum 2009 is expecting nearly 1500 guests, who will attend classes in 38 breakout locations.
